Red “Delicious”

The other day a decided to red delicious so that I could fairly review them. It should be said not all red apples are red deliciou, also red delicious are anything but delicious. I personally am not a fan at all and would highly encourage staying away from them at all costs. You can identify them by their uniformly deep red skin (there will be no yellow on it at all). They are often fairly tall compared to other apples and are often top heavy. Also if you bite into one the inside will be an off white color (most other apples have a light yellow hue). I rate them a 0/10. Would not recommend (especially not to people who have had other good types of apples). Fun fact up until last year red delicious we’re the top selling apple in the US do to the uniformly red skin (it is now gala) Most of the red delicious orchard Owners are now forced to outsource to places such as China and Japan. The recent tariff war has put even more strain on these orchard owners forcing many to bankruptcy or accept being bought out by competitors.
